SB x LFW

Yesterday I had the opportunity to take some street style snaps for Simply Be at London Fashion week! Although the idea of creepin' on peeps was a little daunting at first, I soon got into the hang of harassing people for a picture & ended up having a blast. Check out the photos on Simply Be's insta.

I'm not sure what I expected from LFW, but I can say I was underwhelmed. One of the main venues is quite literally a car park & there didn't appear to be any cohesion to what was going on. Sure, it seemed exciting & plenty of people were dressed well but overall, the atmosphere was lacking. Considering the fashion industry brings an estimated £28 billion into the UK's economy, I would have thought more of an effort would be made to showcase the talent of our best designers. Don't even get me started on the lack of representation.

Maybe I'm just hard to please? Either way, I definitely understand Gracie Francesca's frustrations.

  1. Aw that's a shame! I'm not sure why they've moved to a carpark, it seems a bit incongruous to me. Went a couple of times when Somerset House was the main hub and I'm glad I did because the vibe was really fun - but I only did 1 show and spent the rest milling around at my own leisure, so it was quite relaxed. I think LFW is always one of those things which sounds fabulous but to spend more than a day there would just be a bit too exhausting and pointless for me!

I LOVE your outfit btw, so cool - and comfy shoes too (Y) xx
