ASOS Mesh Leggings

Wow, even though it's only been a week since my last post it feels like forever! I didn't intend to take a 'break' from blogging but with coursework deadlines, revision classes and other goings on, I've been too tired to post. I've always been a bit of a night owl and lived off little sleep but in my old age it seems to be catching up with me. I've finally managed to catch up on blogs and it's good to be back! :D

Ages ago I blogged about these ASOS leggings and how I needed them in my life. Finally, what feels like several years later, I have a pair and I'm in love! I'm 6'2 with 35in inside leg, so after ordering them I was a bit dubious as to how they were going to fit. Whilst they could probably do with being an inch longer (that's just me being picky!), the fit is amazing. The fit in the leg is perfect, no unnecessary baggy knees or ankles, they sit comfortably high on the waist and they're so soft. Even though I have yet to wear them outside (apart from the dentists but that doesn't count!) I decided to play around with different ways of wearing them:

Please excuse my wonky/angry face, it's still numb :/

I don't know how I feel about the Paris tee, I love it on other people but on me I think it looks a bit...bleh. For £3 I'm certainly not complaining though!

What's your favourite ASOS pick of the moment?

10 Things About Myself:
1) Similar to a baby, I get irrationally cranky when I am sleepy lmao
2) I worry about everything, even irrelevant things that nobody cares about.
3) The world amazes me.
4) I recently realised that I'm a commitmentphobe. Doesn't matter what the commitment is, I rarely commit to one decision and always have a back up plan. This is also why I won't get a tattoo and don't want to get married. Too much pressure!
5) I think too much. It's rare that I can just take a minute to breath and live in the moment. The past and the future plague my thoughts.
6) I'm always late (or too early!), I don't mean to be and I feel so bad for it but my time keeping is awful.
7) I hate intolerance of any kind. Don't bother spouting racist, homophobic, sexist, prejudice crap around me or I will kick your ass...verbally of course ;D
8) I don't trust anyone and unless I've figured you out, I'll always think the worst or that there's an ulterior motive.
9) People crying makes me cry. It doesn't matter if it's happy crying or sad crying, if it's in a film, in real life or even on Jeremy Kyle. I'd rather cry for somebody else than cry for myself.
10) Manners; cost nothing, mean a lot. I judge people based on their civility. Pushed in a queue? Let a door slam in someone's face? My opinion of you will always be low. Sorry to say!

oo and thank you to Nefertiti and Black Crushing Sea for the Beautiful Blogger Award!

I hope everyone has an amazing weekend, I'm off to Ripley tonight and then Leeds tomorrow! :)

Want Of The Week

ASOS Curve Hooded Parka

Okay, so I'm pretty much in love with anything khaki these days. Especially these (they need to add these to the Inspire range, stat!). I'm definitely feeling the military trend and noticed so many things I need in New Look!

Sneak Peak: Evans A/W 2010

Today was the 2010 Autumn/Winter press event for Evans and here's a sneak peak of what to expect. What do you think? I'm excited about some of the boots!

For more photos go here, here & here.

Make-Up Storage.

When it comes to organisation of stuff, I am on it; from clothes to sunglasses to magazines, everything has a place and everything goes in order. I am one of those sad people who puts books, DVDs and CDs in alphabetical order; magazines and mail in chronological order and clothes go by type then colour. Unfortunately for me, my ~mad organisational skillz~ don't extend to work and useful things like being on time. Fortunately for me, it means that I had the perfect excuse to buy these adorable drawers yesterday:

Which originally meant that this hot mess:
was nice and organised. But then I got all anal and decided that the randomness was ruining my organisation and made the drawers a MAC only zone which, considering my meagre MAC collection, is a stupid idea. So, now I'm back to square one, my make-up is randomly stuffed in a drawer and I've added more clutter to my shelves!

How do you keep your make-up organised? I might just steal your ideas to sort out my mess! ;D

Dress: New Look

Sandals: Primark
Sunglasses: Primark
Bangle: Evans
Ring: Evans
Sister: Lawd knows!

I got this dress last summer in a last season holiday shopping panic and due to the deep V front, which I unfortunately can't fill :') I didn't get a chance to wear it. Even with a cami underneath I don't think this dress is for me. Due to the lack of 'bulk' in the chestage area it sags funny at the front and I'm not sure about the length. I do love the feel of it on though, it's a gorgeous light cotton and chest-issue aside, it fits really well. Due to my hands, the elasticated/striped underbust can't be seen. This was the first time I've attempted an OOTD in public and felt a bit silly, hense the awkward stance!

OOTD: Lazy Week

This week I've been exceptionally lazy and haven't done anything productive, bad times considering how much I have to do! Although, I have managed to catch up on Glee, Gossip Girl and Skins; that counts for something, right?

idk what my face is doing in these

Today being the last day of the ASOS Sale who grabbed a bargain? From the looks of things on Twitter, ASOS was the place to be today!

I hope everyone has an amazing weekend, here's to hoping I get things done!

PS. Allison over at Curvy Girl Chic is having an AMAZING giveaway so I suggest you go enter!

Want Of The Week

Seen as though I enjoy seeing what other people are lusting after, I figured why the hell not throw my own wants out there!

ASOS Curve Bow Ponti Bandeau Dress

I love the shape, the bow and the exposed zipper on the back; I just wish it was in a more fun colour, like hot pink.

OOTD: Geek Chic

It's ridiculous how many pictures get taken in order to try and string together an outfit post. I would show you some of the hilarious (and hideous) ones that were taken, including a miserable attempt at the running man, but it's too much for anyone! I hope everyone's having a good week, I can't believe it's Thursday already. The sun came out for all of two minutes yesterday and this morning so here's to hoping the sun'll come out tomorrow!

I love how my beauty just shines through lmao!

Strawberries & Cream

Vestral white, racing green & red

I used to be a nail polish fiend, changing my nails every other day or even twice a day, to the point where people would notice and comment on them. On the downside, I didn't take care of them and ended up with weak and destroyed nails. My nails are still a hot mess (I'm gonna blame that on a bad diet!) but I'm sick of them being boring, so taking inspiration from Georgina I decided to give strawberry nails a go.

my giant hand looks like a gorillas foot!

For a first try, I think the results are okay, I'm hoping practice will make perfect! The green part could do with being more defined for a start. The spots were done with a needle/pin.

Difficulty: 2/5
(although you should see the state of my right hand!)

Label Lust

I saw the daisy(?) print pair on The Cherry Blossom Girl and loved them but these are perfection! Love, love, love.

Oh I Do Like To Be Beside The Seaside

Rather than go to my Nana's for the usual Sunday roast, my Mother decided to get into the Easter spirit and took us on a ~family trip~ to the beach, what an idiot. All the shops were closed and it was beyond freezing, although that didn't stop a lot of other crazies from doing the same thing! I was quite perplexed by the amount of people who braved the weather in order for some sea and sand. On the other hand, most people were dressed appropriately in giant coats and wellies. Not that the climate stopped us from getting lemon top ice creams! (I would have taken a picture of its yumminess but I inhaled it within moments). On to the pictures:

I hope everyone else enjoyed their Easter weekend and if you don't celebrate it, then I hope you had lots of chocolate regardless!

Cycle Shorts

Featuring on several Spring/Summer runways, cycle shorts are set to be big this year. The likes of Topshop and ASOS are already on the ball but as usual plus size retailers seem to be lagging behind, so in order to work the trend, a little bit of creativity is needed! Although if like me, you fail miserably at DIY projects then this is the perfect trend to make work for you. Not only can they look good on their own but they're perfect for under short dresses and a fashionable alternative to avoiding chubrub ;)

After seeing these on the Topshop website, I had to have a pair but as is my luck they sold out almost instantly and I can't find them instore. Luckily H&M have the exact same pair for a fraction of the price (£2.99 rather than £10) so I grabbed a pair today.

H! by Henry Holland at Debenhams has a range of cycle shorts. They start at £8 and go up to a UK18. Next time I'm in town I may try on a pair to see how they fit.

Other styles I found:
Top 4 can be found at ASOS.com, bottom/centre left can be found on Etsy and the last pair are from American Apparel.

Will you be wearing cycle shorts this summer?
