Apparently I fail miserably at keeping up with a weekly blogger feature
♥ After a disastrous shopping trip searching for swimwear, I went swimming for the first time in years on Friday. It wasn't half as terrifying as I was expecting although I seem to have forgotten how to swim properly...
♥ I've been debating about whether or not to delete my Facebook for the longest time. Too many people I don't give a crap about & too many I care too much about. I decided to make a new one instead & it feels so much better logging in & not being inundated with rubbish. Anyone else had a social networking cleanse?
♥ I finally got a job. It's admittedly tragic but I'm just happy for the chance to gain some experience & money! I start Tuesday, wish me luck?
♥ I managed to catch another #bbloggers chat tonight & it reminded me how I need to up my blogging game. My posts have dwindled down recently & it's becoming ridiculous, I promise to blog more!

I deleted my facebook. I go on perhaps every 2 months, late so theres less chance of anyone seeing me back on it, and everytime I just sit looking at all the absolute shit people post and think how glad I am I've deleted it. If I wanted to go back on it at some stage in my life I think I would just start a new one. It's all about twitter for me - the people on there are the people I *really* wanna speak to and feel I can really be myself around rather than the so called friends on fb! xxx
ReplyDeleteI need a social network cleanse too. Not to mention it's hard to date when everyone is focused on your exhubby. Ugh!!!
ReplyDeleteI've been contemplating deleting twitter for a while. I'm going to be preparing for my LSAT (law school admissions test) this summer and its going to be too distracting!
ReplyDeletebut for photography and family connections, I can't seem to let it go =/ I think I might just create a new one like you did girl!
i love the 5 to read links you shared good stuff and you don't look a mess haha.
i'm soooo afraid of swimming lol
p.s. thanks for dropping by and leaving all that love on my page girl <333

That's awesome that you got a job, congrats & good luck! & I'm having that Facebook issue right now. I'm debating on deleting it because more than half of those people bring no purpose to my life & FB can be a bit of a downer. I don't know if that is just me :) Anyway, it's been so long since I've been swimming that I probably forgot how to swim as well.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the job front. I hope all goes well.
ReplyDeleteI've definitely thought about doing a facebook cleanse once in a while. I don't really use it anymore now though so I've kept it the same for now.
xx
I'm having a bit of a disaster with shopping for swimwear at the moment...had full on girl tantrum the other day as I nearly got stuck in something I ordered online lol!
ReplyDeleteI deleted my facebook and started over again about a year ago...tend to do a social networking cleanse every now and again!
Good luck for Tuesday lovely! :) I have the fun of preparing for an interview on Wednesday :/ eek!
xx
Ugh, Facebook is just terrible isn't it?! I have it to keep in contacted with friends who are at different unis - that's about it! Haha, it's always strange going swimming after a long time. I can do a length and then I die!
ReplyDeleteLovely post! You write in a great way ;-)

We had a great time swimming (well covering lengths in the pool). We managed 34 lengths which I think is amazing x
ReplyDeleteYou are looking amazing keep up the hard work and you totally worked that swimsuit :-) x
Good luck with the job, you will be fine (think of the money).
xXx
You are so pretty...

I've had a facebook cleanse too, i only have the people on there who i really want to be on there.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the job tomorrow.
Sadie xx
Great post, I've become a bad blogger too, I've restarting carrying a notebook with me so if I think of something to blog I can write the idea down. Good luck with your new job! x

woohoo I can comment because you have a diff window for comments. How annoying has blogger been recently?!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the job :)
I hate facebook for all the reasons you said. It's just people posting pictures of their babies and ex's and people I don't like. I only keep it because my best friend never has credit and is on chat. Deffo going to delete it and email my mates instead!
x
Started reading your blog, will be coming back xx
ReplyDeleteI have regular culls on facebook, more because people I don't want to know personal stuff are on there. I wouldn't delete just because it's not doing any harm being there, just delete the people you don't want!
ReplyDeleteWhats '#bbloggers chat'?
ReplyDeleteCongrats on new job too chick, what is it?
I cleaned out my Facebook friends a few months ago. I tried to get rid of the people I kept around just to be snarky about them or who were generally annoying/not real friends. I like having Facebook, though, to keep in touch.
ReplyDeleteAlso, good luck at the new job!
You look gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteFacebook drives me insane. I barely go on but I still like to keep up with actual friends.. maybe just delete a load of people?
yay for a job! xo
ReplyDeleteFacebook used to be amazing but now it's just a pain! Big congrats on the job and I wish I had the courage to go swimming again, I've not been for years! xoxo
ReplyDeleteDefinite YES to feeling like I need to delete and or cleanse my Facebook. My problem is that I would feel bad deleting people, but to make a new one seems like such a hassle.
ReplyDeleteI remember I unfollowed a few people from my high school on twitter who were constantly taking over my timeline and one of the people actually asked me why I unfollowed them. It was so awkward haha! I deleted Twitter and Facebook may be next!
Huge congrats on the new job! A job's a job these days so it doesn't matter how 'tragic' it is.
ReplyDeleteYou're one of my favourite bloggers so I'm definitely looking forward to you blogging more.
@thomessa - Thank you so much lovely, it wasn't half as bad as I was expecting! I couldn't agree more, checking into FB put me in the worst mood. I couldn't face deleting it though but making a new one was the best decision! LOL I was flailing around in the beginning but it was great fun :)
ReplyDelete@PlumpyDolly - Thank you lovely <3
@Sadie - I think it's best, my new FB has a pathetic amount of people in comparison to my old one but I wouldn't have it any other way. Thanks bb!
@CameronPoe2409 - Thanks bb! That's a great idea, I always forget half of the things I was going to blog about!
@SE - That's how I felt, as much as I hate most people on my old FB, I'd feel terrible deleting them! After making my new one though, I'm not looking back. Checking in doesn't make me an anxious depressed mess. I couldn't live without twitter though although some of the people I know in real life who are on there make me want to commit homicide.
@Dilan Dilir - Thanks!
Yay for the job! :) I had a huge cull of Facebook and Titter and it was such a relief and as soon as I finish uni another load of people are going, haha!

You look so fresh and beautiful!
