Who managed to get something from the collection? What'd you think?
Evans Ruby Belle Dresses
June 01, 2010
I have to admit, I wasn't one of the many who got excited about the Ruby Belle dress collection for Evans. They're out of my price range and not really my style but rummaging through Evans today, I found a couple of the dresses that someone must have returned (they don't sell them in my store). Being in my size, I obviously had to try them on! Huge mistake, I lovee the Flamingo dress and will have to admire it from afar!

Even though they're the same size and the same shape, the flower print one didn't fit the same. The neck was more baggy and even in pictures I think it looks more square on top.

Both look gorgeous on you but I think I prefer the print and colours of the flamingo one - it's super summery and your skintone sets it off really beautifully. The range has such pretty dresses but I agree with the pricing thing. Also, I have a weird shape. Kinda like an apple and pear but a huge one, so dresses don't sit right on me. I really like the one with the boats on the skirt though xx
ReplyDeletei love how the red one looks on you! the fit looks perfect.
ReplyDeleteI have to admire these from afar too...now I wasn't to keen on the flamingo dress, but seeing it on you makes me really love it now! The red looks like a perfect fit on you! <3

love the flamingo print!
ReplyDeleteLove that flamingo dress!
ReplyDeleteI was online ogling it the other day, but I am broke and can't buy anything right now. :(
You look great in both of them. I've been admiring the flamingo one and the sailboat one from afar. My local Evans doesn't stock them either but I'm in London today so I'm hoping to go and try them on later, if they're nice enough I might blow the budget!
ReplyDeletei love the red one on you xx
ReplyDeleteyou look so lovely! ILOVE them both
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love the flamingo one so much in fact that I bought it! eek! I love anything kooky like that and it is gorgeous. I do agree with the price thing and Evans don't do it well but I think that something like the dress is a classic shape and I personally don't think that the print will date so it's a bit of an investment (trying to rationalize here!) xx
ReplyDeletethe red one on u is fab! even though u say its not ure style ... that dress definitely has ure name on it girl!
ReplyDeleteooohhhhh!!! both look SO cute on you! I particularly like the red one!!! I see what you mean though about the neckline-strange! I hate it when clothng items from the same company and of the same cut/size fit completely differently
ReplyDeleteOMG - I totally had the wrong body for these dresses - they look AMAZING on you. I love that the cut is spot-on - after Lauren and myself, I wondered who they might be right for - clearly - you and your killer pins are the go.
ReplyDeleteFlamingo - do it. x.
je suis fan de la premiere robe ;O)
